Anyway I was just woundering who this guy was and where hes been the last 20 years. Iv'e been riding the Uintahs since the late 80's when I bought my first sled. Trevor's ideas sound alot like how it used to be back then. Good times but unfortunately they have changed. I think your about 20 years to late Trevor. To many skier's and dogooder's around now. Still I wouldn't mind ridin with ya. Almost up there as much as SH (almost!) Gonna try to go camping up there for memorial weekend.

yeah. never got into the whole computer gig, never knew there was a place for riders to discuss issues and what not til lately.. I've been around though.. we've probably crossed paths numerous times but only with a wave and a punched throttle:) we'll definately hook up this next winter and tear it up.. oh if you come park and unload at my place you don't have to have that stupid parking tag that the forest service is starting to get pretty ugly about.. it'll save ya some $$ and if we break anything i got my shop right there with everything you could ever need to repair your ride plus some (beer in the fridge:D) give me a holler this next winter.. i'm heading to coalville to visit my great grandpa, great uncle, and my dad's brothers graves for memorial day (may they rest in peace, they would be disgusted to see what they gave their lives for as to what the government is turning into) but yeah, if you visit my web site i've listed both me and scotts contact info and were definately down to ride. maybe some fishin up lym lake or whitney this summer?? :beer;:beer;

Cool. Thanks for the invite.
Back in like '89 my buddy broke his handlebars on his V-max. I think we might have gone to your shop (dads shop?) to see if he could help us out.
Not sure just thinking. Do you know the Fearn's? George Fearn used to have a Yamaha dealership by Morgan.

Didn't we meet on the hill once?
You were searching for your buds and ran into us in a little cove.

Sounds fun. I dont get up there much in the summer. Really just a winter hangout for me. My inlaws have a cabin up by Causey that gets some of my attention.

Hey, How are you related to Bub and his dad Warren? Warren has a place in Beaver Dam and was good friends with my old man.....
Yeah Warren's my grendpappy!!! He ain't doin very good now though.. His hearts failing rapidly and he is about done. he refuses to go to the hospital (you know how stubborn the Wright's are) and the doc gives him to the end of summer... Bad times around here. He's in Coalville right now and me and Bub (my dad) have been going down there weekly to check on him and irrigate his field for him.. Breaks my heart to see the ol' feller slippin off like this, he's been my idol for years:(

Update 5-23/24-09

Well guys I hate to say it and see it over so soon, but I think it's done. Me and the ol' man tooled up the road yesterday and the snow has receeded nearly to the top. Memorial turnout is pretty good, lots of campers and wheelers runnin round the mountain yesterday AND today. Newgate Motorsports, in cooperation with the US Forest Service, is holding a safety and training rally for atv'ing in the mountains.. some big schpeel about proper operation of atv's and it seems to be doing some good. I hope people learn from this. Me and the ol' man went over and got in on it with Doug (Newgate) and we all talked with a large number of people about how critical it is to travel in groups and not going out alone (stuff happens) was a pretty good deal and Dave (Forest Service Rep) bought us all dinner. was pretty dang cool! Anyways, the snows pretty much done, you can however park at the steinecker turnout and unload your sleds there and do some road riding up around baldy and what not but the snows in bad shape. Snowed this morning for about 2 hours but it melted as fast as it was hitting the ground. Just thought I'd give you all a heads up, and that it IS still possible for maybe a little memorial day cruise up the highway. Its not plowed yet but sledding can be done.

From UDOT concerning Hwy 150

"Yesterday (June 3rd) we were able to get all of the way through and are working on removing some ice pack and are planning to have it open Friday morning (June 5th) to the public. You should be able to do some fishing this weekend."
