Started tearing into my sled last night to change a track and then realized I didn't know what I was doing. I've got the chain and belt off, now what?

First of all weren't you the guy who was just telling everyone of a new comcept in turbocharging two stroke snowmobile engines? About how awesome it is? And now are asking how to change out a track? No offense. But what the heck man!
Sometimes said "concept." Yes, I was. My insurance company and the FAA make sure I spend lots of time and bushels of money to thoroughly understand every aircraft I'm authorized to fly. IMHO, the existing technology that allows us to get 2500 hours out of air cooled turboed plane engines could have huge potential for our heat finicky 2-strokes. I'm not sure why that should have any relevance to changing a track, but if I follow your logic correctly, since you posted your expertise on track changes you'd better not ask any stupid questions about turbos. No offense
BTW, thanks for posting the parts you remembered about track changing. That, and the other tips should save me some head scratching and parts cleaning.![]()
If you have the 10 tooth drivers then you almost have to pull the chain case off....it's damn tight fit in there.

Don't worry I won''t be asking any stupid questions about turbo's. I have one and have done tons and tons of research when building it. Thanks though.
I really didn't mean anything about the turbo thing. Really I am sorry you took offense to it. I think your concept would work but the problem is that most guys want BIG hp as well as a simple system that is lightweight. Either way.
I didn't think about the 10 tooths being so big. I guess i have a drop and roll on my sled and 8 tooth 3.0 pitch drivers. Well have a good year. I hope there are no hard feelings.
where is this Turbo thread? I wana read...![]()
