Types of sled decks

I use e track on my flatbed .. just tie down the footpegs.. then use the caliber plastic glide for the ramp.. works great..
So I only have pics with wheels but I run the Snowbikes the other direction... You can see the glide on one side of my flat bed... Then I just pull it off backwards ...

Crane Loading

I decided to make my Sled Deck multipurpose by turning it into a Mini Boom Truck. I can load two bikes in 10 minutes and pick up to 1000 pounds with a 30 pound crane. With the electric spitzlift model mounted in the correct location with a remote control and a nice harness it would be even easier and more convenient. The best part that I find is that I can use the crane as a third hand. As I undo my straps I use the crane to hold the bike in place while I move around. Also right when I ride up to my truck, I can connect the crane to it and use it to hold it upright while I take my helmet off, etc.

I'm gonna go electric like the video below and add the track and caribeener system like below so that I can eliminate the ratchet straps

This is pretty sweet as well, looks way easier than some of the full drop trailers I've seen:

one way.........our way

been doing this for 20 years with sleds and sno bikes recently, many days its just Dan and I. so got away from taking a coverred trailer and going with sleds or bikes on the back of the truck and making it simple.

So here one cheap and great working solution .

We have 4 of these setups scattered among riders, some wood, some steel, mine was make to load one sled or two bikes as shown, allows lots of flexibility for me on days I need a sled for work.

Let me clarify the picture with the footpegs... I have revised that to using only carabiniers... The other way the units unscrew over time and coukd be a bad situation .
