seen alot of 2 wheels but with the track tight on nytro and turbo i'm going 4 wheel.at least if 1 goes i get home.and i seen a few gone!on stock sleds just my thoughts

gonna try it this season. if you are running the BIG boost (<12 lbs) i would stay away. JMHO... i run am running 12 lbs this season i think I should be OK. We'll see..ha

both our nytros are non turboed, and we are running smitty's800 kit. he is a member here, dootalk, and TY. good quality part, easy install great service and attention to detail. ski

i just went to the freedom axel, you can go from 4 to 2 wheels have yet to see it but it seems pretty slick for what i like to do, found the site on 2koolperformance, you can also go from stock hight wheels to 9inchs if you like.

Ran 2 inside wheels all last year on my TNytro. DO NOT use slydog's plastic 8" wheels. I had them taco on me when sidehilling. Destroyed the wheels and back end of my rails. After that mishap, I ran Mountain Machines 8" billet wheels. No issues.

The freedom axle is built by Mountain Machines as well. Google them. Mountain machines perfomance out of Montana.

Smitty makes great quality products. Last year I ran the Mountain Machines inside wheel kit on my RT 1000 and it held up great. I am running Ice Age Rails and a Cat setup on my T-Nytro this year.

How much Boost? And are these "plastic" wheels the same as Western Power Sports composite wheel?? I think theres 1000 + miles on the WPS wheels on mine (3 wheels), but ordered a 2 wheel kit/shaft from IceAge and wanting to run the 2 WPS wheels..

EDIT: ok, i saw the hokey wheels Slydog sells. (http://www.slydogskis.com/products_wheels.htm) and can see why they'd not work all that well w/ big power / track speed. :P

I have had numerous sleds under boost with inside wheel kit (2) up to 12lbs. boost with no issues EXCEPT I have lost a couple bearings. I replace them now every 400 miles under boost. IMO it is what you should keep an eye on besides bolts loosening and backing out ;)

yeah this was my thinking, carry a spare wheel in the truck...not a huge issue to replace...

and check/replace bearings on occasion.
