Two more prime examples

If you take a picture and send it to the forest service in cle elum, they can elect to send them a ticket, they actually like handing out tickets to the click clicks, Or you can call the sherrif office and report the violation. It's better to educate them than fight with them. I did have a skier pull right up to my back door of my trailer last year at GC, I left them a nices / semi nasty note saying that next time they did this I will remove all 4 valve cores on their tires. have some courtesy I told them.

I LIKE your thinking 'bout the tire valves!:face-icon-small-hap

That's tough to do when your up riding and they park on your trailer bumper.....and another in front. Have had that happen a few times.
This is why I don't park at GC whenever possible, that place is a parking nightmare on a busy weekend.

there should be enough snow you can drop your ramp on there hood, build a ramp with snow and load your sleds. problem fixed.

move'em

well, I'm just saying I may have um er heard of a time someone blocked some trucks at a snow park... and then maybe, allegedly someone might have hooked a chain to the offending vehicle and then to the back of a BIG 4 X 4 and then maybe, the truck driver then dragged the Subaru for a while and re- located the vehicle.. anyway that is what I heard.. one time but my um mind is foggy :face-icon-small-dis

just playing devils advocate...

the only sign that says "no parking in turn around" is nailed to a tree on the LHS (before you get in the turn around) and its not clearly visible.

the sign needs to be posted on the RHS of the road (as your comming into the turn around) for people to see.

more often than not, there is an enclosed trailer parked right in front, or blocking the view of the sign.

BUUUUUUT,

when i was there last weekend my buddy and i had seen a group of three snow shoers who were unloading in the turn around and we pointed to the sign (polietly), asked them to move their car so trailers could turn around. they moved their car....on the other hand, right as we were loading up, one guy paralelled his subaru right behind an enclosed. we to told him it would be courteous to leave that room for loading/unloading - his response "not my problem".

So, it goes both ways...but IMO the signage needs to be lower and CLEARLY visible to people entering the turn-around.

Sometimes at GC it's not just the skinny skiers and fat footers that park right up on you. I've exchanged words with other sledders who park right up on my bumper. (You know the guys that think their S__T don't stink because they have the new sleds with a bad *** rig and enclosed trailer) Most of the time I just pull out into the road and load. They come in all forms... Just not enough parking there especially on Saturdays...
Price creek is sometimes a better option for parking...

agreed that the signs stuck in a tree are not the best idea..none the less when there is a dead end area with an obvious circular area that no one is parked in that is at a trail head. Hmmmmm why would all those perfect real close spots be left open?? Hmmmmm hard to understand..maybe their is a sign or common sense would dictate that people need room on a dead end to turn around.
