Two 01 MC 600's Won't Turn Over

So I have a buddy who just tonight (12/17) went to go and start these two sleds, and they will not turn over. He's tried pulling both the cord and rocking the primary without the plugs in, and from the sound of it it won't budge. Sled has been sitting at least three years outside uncovered, both ran when it was put on the trailer last time. I told him to pull the plugs and check for shards on them, there was nothing on the plugs whatsoever, and to take a flashlight and check the tops of the pistons. My only advice for him was to put a couple ounces of oil (2-stroke) into each plug hole and let it sit over night, then see if it moves in the morning. I also told him if they don't take the pipe off and see if the pistons are scared or and check the skirts.

What else can we do to see if this sled will start or turn over without taking the motor apart?

you will want to spray a good (notice i said good) penetrating oil in the cylinders as much as ya can...through the plug holes...exhaust etc..it will do a much better job then oil to break the rust free around the rings as thats likely where she is rusted abit..spray the crank seal from the outside as well just incase the seals are really dry and you don;t want to rip them..(wd 40 will work good for mag side seal as it won;t have an issue with stator)..mix your first tank of fresh gas untill you are sure your autolube is working..and when the penetrate frees the engine make sure you get the clyinder walls coated good before starting...if it frees up it should end up being ok unless you have nic issues where it rusted but a good chance you won;t..get rid of all the old gas you can..

I found out the hard way one year just how much water can make it into an engine just from the moisture in the air moving in and out of it as tempurature changes. If it is freezing tempurature were you are try bringing them into a heated building. When this happened to me the crank was frozen in ice in the case.
