Twin XP pipes? Big John.

Love twin pipes when they are built right..

The Jaws pipes are being developed,, right now, and hopefully they will be a great pipe..

My information is that the Jaws twins are being developed around an 860 big bore... so, that is great news for us who make big bores.

Greg, at Jaws, is as smart of a 2 stroke guy as you will find..hopefully, he will have some success fitting some big twins in that XP chassis..If anybody can do it.. he can.

As for all the "talk" on here about some XX gain with Jaws XP twin pipes.... Seems like pure speculation since the product, in question, does not exist. Wishful thinking, at best..
Wouldn't ya agree???:confused::confused::confused:

TA 860 Kit

do the 860terra alps with twins 21% gain at top and lots on the bottom, more then stock. don't ever think a proper built set of twins can't out perform a single.

And if you are looing for a TA big bore kit, I happen to have a brand new kit, with cyl's available. PM me for more info...

not speculation no more!!!! there here! now if ya had a real big bore to put them on, it would be great.

Too bad you didn't know how to build a big bore that would stay together. Everytime you open mouth, you insert foot.

LOL!!

Too bad you waste so much time in your life seeking out posts from me, so, you can reply with these awesome answers. I wish I had the spare time you have DD..

Keep up the good work!

As for the pipes.. Rest assured.. they are NOT here yet.. They are still in development.. I think they will be a great pipe when they are completed. Greg, at Jaws is as good as they get at pipe making..

We will have trail twins for the 800R in the XP chassis available for sale to the general public this fall. They will work better than any single, they will fit with stock pre airbox and coolant bottle locations. This is a tight fit and will require attention to under hood heat with some vents, heat tape and relocation of some smaller under hood components. They will give an increase in torque and our tests show about a 9% increase in hp at 8200rpm with a free flowing airbox and stock timing. They will work great with big bores and modded 800's as well and will be available in loud and quiet low el. and high el. configurations. Pricing is yet to be finalized but will be on par with the rest of the market. Right now we have a waiting list going, we will fill those orders first and will be filling orders on a first come first serve bassis after that.
This product has been very carefully developed since over the past year and will continue to meet our very high standards of quality and performance.

Sincerely, Dmax.

Dmax makes great pipes also..

IMHO, this engine is no more likely to benefit from twin pipes than the Series III engine (Once modified). BUT.. what is encouraging about the XP is that DOO did not doo their usual "excellent" single pipe for this chassis.. Not sure what happened but the XP OEM pipe seems to leave a lot on the table (someting DOO usually does not allow).

So, I think there is a good possibility that there could be some better performing aftermarket single and twin pipes for the XP chassis.

I always try and run twins on all my engines and have yet to find a set that works on these DOO's since 2002. Onthe CAT engine, many twins work great on a mod engine at very high elevation but not so good on a stock engine..

Should be interesting to see what develops with all the pipe makers and this XP..
