twin pipe muffler options

I have slp twin pipes on my 08 dragon 700 they have the twin mufflers, i would really like to make this thing super quiet. Could i run a stock can or maybe a 800 stock can? Or maybe a 3in performance automotive muffler. As long as i dont add any resistance to the flow i should be fine. I have 6in of stinger off the end of the pipe so as long as i dont add any restriction i should be ok.

SLP does have a big ole suitcase canister for their twin pipes. You could talk to them about that.

I would contact SLP directly since they have the specs and knowledge to talk about those pipes. They are called 'race twins' for a reason. They weren't built with the every day rider in mind, which probably means they will tell you there isn't an option to replace the stingers. Hopefully they can give you some options because riding with that setup is eventually going to piss the wrong person off.

Made my own 90deg pipe and ypipe ran both pipes into a singe 2.5" turbomuffler sounds amazeingly quiet probley quieter then stock best thing is iam back to pulling 8600rpms stoked at how quiet this thing is and that it actually worked. I was told i needed to keep 6in of stinger and i could put anything on it that i wanted as long as it didnt decrease flow and so far it has worked.

Let us know how it runs after a few rides. Would be pretty cool to pull off a custom fab like that and not lose any performance, plus get the quieter ride you were looking for.

Well so far its pulling rpm thats what i was worried about glad i found my damn runability prob, stupic core on the orgional stinger was blocking part of the pipe so it would only pull 81-8200rpms would pull really hard on my buddies carls 840 dragon then the next min it cant hardly get out of its own way.

Same issue i had on my stock SLP race twins on my IQR. I bought some larger pipe, double baffled it with new insulation and i can hear myself again. I have a build up thread on how i did it in the IQR section. I sled builder friend of mine told me all the backpressure is in the pipes as long as i don't change the pipe i should be fine and i was. Sled rips hard and i haven't lost any hp or rpm. It worked incredibly well and i kept the big out suitcase outta my sled....

Be really careful, if it restrict a little bit too much it might just detonate. Make short runs and watch the sparkplugs, just a little loonger pull each time.

D&d made an Y from twin pipes to the F7 stock can, it did not work. Then they made a fitting for each pipe to weld on the stock silencer.
