Not trying to beat a dead horse here, just looking for a quick response as to the EASIEST way to do this.

1. How do you access this - what parts do you need to take off?
2. Does someone have a pic of the actual place/part that needs to adjusted?
3. How many turns?

Overall, do people believe this is truly helping?

And yes, I have done a search and read through the other posts. Not looking to start a long thread year. Just wanted to get a couple quick responses from people who know what they are doing in regards to this.

thanks!

I took the seat off and moved gas tank to the side. There are some good pictures in the other post to show where you need to get at exactly. Some say they have done it from above and reached down.... they are much better than me as I could not make that work. Really doesn't take that long.

Take the hood off, get a 1/4" ratchet and a 8-10" long extension and a swivel with a 8mm socket I believe. I used a long flat head screw driver or long curved needle nose to hold the tab while I un did it so I didnt bend it, and then turned the screw 3 turns clock wise. Took me maybe 1/2 hr total to do it.

1) Remove hood and side panels. That is all you should need to remove. Removal of can does give you more arm room.
2) Pic is in this thread (along with alot of other good info and a fair amount of info that can be disregarded) http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=277595&highlight=oil+pump
3) How many turns...depends on what ratio you are trying to achieve. I'd first fill both oil and gas (both to the bottom of the filler neck on tank) and ride. Then refill and calculate your ratio. Do this a few times and take your average.

Tools needed: 8mm socket, knuckle adapter, couple long extensions, wratchet and a screwdriver.

I can show you exactly what needs to be done next time we are together. Although the attched thread is all you need. Good Luck. I did mine about 2 or 2.5 turns (can't remember exactly but I know it wasn't 3). I dont know if it will make a difference, but sures heck couldn't hurt. My ratio was about 34:1....only tested twice. Haven't checked after I turned it up. I do know consumption is up just by the amount I add to the oil tank.
