Turning j hooks

I bought my sled and the j hooks were turned straight back. Thus, doing absolutly nothing. I loosed them off and tryed to turn them down with minimal succuess. Is there a secret to get them to budge. The budged about a 1/4 inch thats it. :beer;

loosen the bolt several turns, then give the allen socket or allen wrench a few taps (with it still inserted in the allen bolt) to knock the wedge loose.

You might be right with the wd40 then...or get some penetrating oil and spray in there (might want to tip sled on its side and let it soak...1 side at a time) then reinsert the bolt a few turns and tap w/a hammer to break it loose.

If the grips and handwarmers have been removed you could heat up the bar with a propane torch.

use a T-handle to loosen the bolt. Loosen it a bit then hit the t-handle on the end towards the bars pushing the bolt in, this will loosen the wedge. I used to work for a poo dealer and learned that this is the best way to do it without worrying about messing up threads, grips, etc.
