turning a short track nytro into a mountain sled

well i found a really good deal on a short track & iam looking for info on how much extra work it is going to be.iam tossing tunnel skid & track anyway so other than wider a-arms will there be any bulkhead probs.

talk to dave at powder lites his sled started life as an rtx . i would think adding drivers to youre list and youre good to go . also paul at impulse is doing a few of the racer edtion nytros mabey he could help you out as well

You shouldn't have any problems. I will be taking a shorty and making it a mountain sled as well this summer.

Gears, chain, Handle bars, risers, clutching will change anyway, drivers will change anyway, Ignition???? might be slightly different?? Better shocks to start with, wider front end which in my mind is better, New 09 geometry.......... assume they have the same chain case????? Driver/cooler clearance???

I am sure that there is more but I would do it if you can get it for a better deal and you plan on sawing it off from the tank back.

the one iam looking at is a crashed one it will get a new tunnel, drivers, bars, skid,track you know the usual

yeah i have an rtx and the only difference is the drivers and clutching, im long tracking mine this summer and all im doing is getting the mtx suspention set up so all i do is lower my skid about 5 inchs i think then its like the same think and add a tunnel extention, but im doing all of mine on a budgett. but the rear suspention sucks on the rtx with the duel pro clickers, i personally didnt like them i bottomed out all the time.
