Turbo with warranty?

I'm seeing a lot of snowmobiles for sale the season with turbos installed on the two-stroke pro RMK's that are claiming x nimber of years on the warranty. I was just wondering how this works is it a full bumper-to-bumper warranty or is it everything except the engine since you installed an aftermarket turbo?

You have it right, Polaris isn't going to cover repairs on a turbo motor. Heck, I can't get them to fix my stock Pro so I wouldn't put any value on their warranty at all. The only part on the Pro that really needs a warranty is the motor anyway, so yeah, no value in my book at all. Buy a turbo at your own risk.

Actually, the only Polaris warranty items I ever had were the chaincase blowing out and the steering column breaking.

The turbo kits today are bolt on for one reason and I doubt it's for ease of install!!! Not that I would ever take a previously boosted sled in for warranty:biggrin1:Whether or not you can prove an ecm has ever been mapped differently is probably another debate. I like to take a twelve pack of beer out to the guys in the service dept on occasion:light:
