Turbo sled oil ratio

Wondering what is a safe oil ratio. I am running 2008 bd turbo 800. I have calculated my oil consumption to be 44:1. It was 55:1 and I tightened the slack out of the throttle cable by the throttle lever and it helped. It is now 44:1 checked over 3 different rides. I have been adding oil to the tank to put me at 40:1. I am running amsoil and they claim it safe to run at 50:1. Do you think I am fine not putting oil in my tank? I know I can adjust my oiler, but I really don't want to take the seat, tank, plastics, intercooler, throttle bodies off to do this. I also know the oiler is sensitive and don't want to adjust it to much and have it 35:1 or more. Just want to hear some opinions. Thanks
