Turbo running out of fuel at 1/2 tank idea's?

I posted this on HCS but since you guys out west are getting more riding than us I thought maybe someone else had this problem.

Ok so earlier I posted that my turbo starts to starve for fuel and run out at 60 miles this is still true. I assumed that I was on empy and was getting horrible mileage but this is NOT the case as I had earlier thought. Today we went for a trail ride taking it easy 50-60 mph as usual my gas gauge by 77 miles was on 2 bars left.

Here is the problem; when I get 3 bars or less which I am guessing is between 1/2 and 3/4 tank my sled will starve for fuel on accelleration. This is with HJ set at zero or turned up don't matter, even rolling into it very easy and slow it will sputter and pop and will not rev. If I hold the throttle it will gain rpm but will only turn like 6900 so its dead on its face.

Today I took the fuel system apart to take a look, not much really other than "maybe" one of the smart valves is not working or maybe there is a leak in the fuel pump and when the fuel gets lower its spraying out or loosing prime?

Anyone have any passed experience with this? Our other one was doing the same thing but it has quit doing it now??? I went through the fuel system today checking for kinks etc in the hoses couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.

How the system works is those blue smart valves if they suck air even for a split second snap shut and transfer to the other smart valves. Im wondering if the front one is faulty so upon accelleration when the fuel moves to the rear of the tank its sucking air. As soon as this happens I can hear a loud whining sound like my pump is starving for fuel.

Rode 77 miles today took 5 gallons.

Out of fuel

Who installed the turbo? An Arctic Cat Tech told be when I had a question about removing the fuel pump, that the new tank is a real pain with the smart valves, they have a special tool they could send me to get them positioned just right. I know on some turbos you have to install a new higher flow pump, maybe they didn't get it in right?

Try this:

Next time if it starves for fuel, quickly crack your fuel cap open and see if you get a hissing sound out of the cap. That could be yur problem as well........

Worth a look

Here we had a 2010 M8 with the same problem. It would starve for fuel below 1/2 filled. Turned out there actually was a tiny hole in one of the hoses between the fuel pump, and the front smart valves.
Just a thought...

Every thought helps! Last night I moved the vented diaphram from the rear smart valve to the front main valve, I made 6 passes with 1/2 gallon in the tank and it ran fine so maybe fingers crossed it helped? I also re sealed all the hose fittings with new oetiker (sp?) clamps.
