Turbo reeds

the turbo etec will eat the turbo boyseen reeds in less than 5 days riding, at least they did for us, i ordered a set of tony dukas reeds today, he says the .24 have worked great in the past and feels they will work great in this application

jarred at absoulte power sports is trying them as well for the aero charger kits

as for the ones that brp are comming out with , it sounds like another trail and error campaine

Guys that are making the switch from Boyseen to TDR, keep us informed if you believe there was a gain in bottom end. I have Boyseen turbo reeds in mine w/ around 800 miles and no problems but always willing to try something new. I don't have stock to try or double up.

i have 900 miles on our etec with the boyseen reeds. i have had very good luck with them. sometimes there is some tricks to keeping reeds in them.

I have tried SS reeds, carbon reeds. .025 carbon reeds, double stacked, double stacked with second one cut half way, stock reeds with .018 circut board, tdr, even made some with kelvar and carbon. Each have a good and bad. but my best luck has been boyseen with my trim on them.

I have OEM doo reeds IN STOCK directly from doo.
125 per side, 250 for a complete set

5 yrs of trouble free running with dyno results to prove all gains and losses from oem vs boyesen.

yes, DOO does have a part number..

Don't know why but put turbo on my boys sled home build preset aero turbo 10lbs boost
He has over 6000 km on his sled with turbo have spare reeds never used.

i thought you had no intensions of doing a etec turbo till the fuel controller was figured out better. any pictures of your build, or is it the areo kit...

Oh I have buddies with etecs running, it is called 3 years or r&d. I promise when I pull the trigger and release it will be sweet. So close:face-icon-small-ton

Let's see some pics and dyno sheets of those doo reeds. I want to try them lots of talk but never seen the ghost reeds
:spy:

Doo P/N

OK Gus, whats the Doo part number? My dealer is persistent in telling me they cannot be purchased seperately!

20 hours of driving to the dyno, $200 in fuel, 400$ in dyno cost, You really think I should give it away ??

Bryce will have a finsihed e torch turbo when he sends them out..No promises of perfection without delivering.. thats been the case to date with NO dyno proof for any of them..NONE

If Bryceter has NO stock reeds in his shop to test I bet I can find him some

Worth a try

Hey, I thought I would try. I guess thats the difference between you and Bryce!

BRP Racing turbo reeds

Inner petal Part Number 486 012 007
Outer petal Part Number 486 012 008

Thanx

Thanks DLUX. I see you're from GP. We should hook up and ride together sometime this year!

Definitly, if you deal with stojans i have some of these on order right now, very expensive. you may want to call colin and have him throw another set on order.

Does the etech and 800r use the same or different reeds?
If different are the part numbers listed for a etech or 800r?
It would be great if you can let us know if these are boysen reeds or something different when you recieve them.

thank you
jeremy

Im not to sure if the two motors use different reeds, as far as i know the part number i have was not the boyessn reed its a brp reed but who knows maybe its a change up. seems like some guys on here know a lot more than the rest or at least thats what they would like everyone to believe.

i have a set of brp turbo reeds coming from aerocharger, we booked a dyno today for some testing, brp turbo reeds, stock reeds, boyseen turbo reeds, and tony lucas, and see how they compare

Awesome !!! Be sure and keep us posted on the results. I tried 3 different dealers and cannot by the reeds alone.

Just for the heck of it I looked it up and both the 800r and the etech have the same oem part number for the reeds and cages. On their parts fiche it did not give a seperate price or part number for just reeds.
Holy **** on the price. partspitstop.com was around $380 for a full set of reeds and cages for both cylinders. And that is discounted off of full oem price.
