Turbo reeds

What is everyone running for reeds in their turbo xps?
These are the turbo specific reeds I got when I bought the Turbowerx kit 2 yrs ago and then I installed cat cages and reeds. I want to go back to the double v stock set up as the cat cages are consistently leaking. I dont remember why the reeds are 2 different styles(one has more holes)or if they go in a specific place.
Thanks.

I havn't seen those before. who makes them?
I used the boysen turbo reeds in stock cages with no problems for one year. I ran the boysen rage cages with turbo reeds last year. they chiped a couple times. I got a new set at the end of last year I havn't used yet. Going to try them this year and see how it goes. if they chip again I will probably go back to the stock reed cages and the boysen turbo reeds.

No stainless steel...just plastic of some sort. They look like they were drilled out for some reason. Never heard of anyone doing that before. Looks like I will have to get some new reeds to put on my stock cages for turbo application.

Doubling up the stock reeds is not an option as doo only sells the reeds with the cages.....you cannot buy them seperately. I would have to buy 2 complete sets as Jake kept my stock ones when he installed the kit.

We have had the best luck with boyseens. Super strong and have some guys with over 2000 miles on them. Stay with what works. I have them in stock.

How much are they? Do they offer them for the old V block instead of the W block?

Yes I can get them for the v block. I just need to mod some years because the reeds hit the port braces. We have worked with Boyseen for a while to come up with a good reeds and some more are in the works.

Bryce is right , Mike and the gang at Boyseen have done a faboulous job on turbo specific reeds for the bootsed 2 stroke .We use 2 sets of petals on both the 800 and the 1000 motors per season which is par for the course with the prostock 1000 guys. Our canadian dynos show substantial mid range gains and marginal top end gains over stock aplications. Good Job Boyseen

I was told by Aerocharger that the turbo reeds lost 13 hp and made bottom end lag seem way worse. They suposedly have a reed comming from brp for the etec. hope it happens soon!!
