first.. its an 06 apex mcx rear mount...

I though my boost controller was bad.. Because I couldnt get my boost to come down.. building like 19-20 pounds.. I need it around 13.. however after examining it.. and talking with turboxs the boost controller seems to be fine.. He claims that it might be a waste gate problem..

I'm leaving for a trip here in about 6 hours and need to get this thing going.

Can i just plug the two lines running to the boost controller off?.. or will it still build big boost?...

Is there a quick way to check/clean the wastegate?.. or once there gone there gone?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated... thanks rocky

To see if your boost controller is bad by pass it completely so you are controlling your boost via your wastegate. If you are still boosting 18 psi then you are having wastagate issues. Make sure there aren't any pinched vacuum lines too.

If it is the wastegate.. could a guy just clean them.. or is it more likely something is broke.. ??... thanks rocky

If I bypass my controller.. can a person adjust the boost on the wastegate?..

You can lengthen your control rod to make the boost dump quicker. Have you unhooked the rod and fliped the deal back and forth?? Does it move smooth?? You want a little preload....like pull the rod out of the pot so that it stays shut. Can you test ride it?? Like with out the seat?? Put a hose direct and then lengthen your rod to lower boost....

I'm at work right now.. going to give it a try here in a bit.. I can test ride it here in the ditch.. with a whole 2".. haha...

But I will hook it direct and see what happens.. I have never played with the turbo before so dont really know whats going on under there .. but I will give it a shot

pull the rod out of the pot?.... Just got to it.. going to hook the line up direct and ride it and see what happens.. but that link i can move back a forth to adjust boost?..

thanks rocky

First unhook the clevis from the waste gate....grab the waste gate...does it turn back and forth smooth? Next pull straight out on the clevis rod....there should be dome force there....pulling against a spring. If you thread the clevis out...the waste gate opens sooner causing the boost to be lower.
