I am putting together an 08 700 RMK and wondering what are the best pistons to go with? (Hoping to turbo charge it if the finance committee negotiations work out)

thanks in advance

New OEM pistons and rings. Don't Wiseco it unless you like wrenching. SPI doesn't make a piston yet for the 700 CFI either.

i put the single ring pistons in mine last year after blowing the land apart on the stock 2 ringers

Thanks - few follow up questions: can get either single or dual ring pistons from polaris for a 700? What is "the Land" that you blew apart? assuming a single ring piston does not build as much compression and is more solid around the ring, right?

d

the material between the top of the piston and the ring and between the rings let go. with a single ring you dont have the thin area between the two rings to come apart and there is it is thicker above the ring as well. in my opinion much better for boosted motor. they have the same compression just more durable

Might be worth a call to the guys at Carls Cycle Sales in Boise Idaho. - 208.853.5550

They have a "turbo piston" that is a single ring version with much thicker lands. I dont know if they have them for a 700 or not, but i run them in my 800 and no issues at all.

Cheers
