Video of my 2012 Summit X 163 with Turbo Performance Etec turbo kit at Cooke City, Mt. I rode all weekend and the sled worked great, no codes, no fumbles, just pull the rope and ride. I had it set at about 8 lbs of boost. I have a little work to do as far as clutching as it was over revving some.

Sled sounded nice and clean. What fuel controller? I ground a set of 441 ramps on my '09 turbo, basically copied Dynamoe Joe's (thanks Joe, if your're reading this, need to try your helix still). I had a hard to time believing I could get the clutch performance I wanted out of my turbo w/out raising my engagement, Joe proved me wrong. Running on clicker one at 8 lbs and really like the performance. Huge improvement over previous setup. Not sure if you can get away w/ ramps like those on the etec because it might let rpm gain too fast and read etecs do wierd things in those situations. Video appeared like the sled was a little slow to build rpm. Hard to tell w/out actually riding it or being there, videos take away so much of the terrain. Otherwise, looked great. Looks like Turbo Performance has a winner.
 
I first want to say that this is my first turbo sled. I know I have plenty to learn. Josh has been great about answering questions either by calling or text.

I am running the Boost-it fuel controller. I really like the Boost-it controller, very easy to set. The bottom end seems like it may be somewhat sluggish right off of engagement but part of that might be because I am running straight race gas. Throttle response right up to 6000 rpm is very much stock like. The boost seems to come on right about 6500, when it does hold on tight!

This kit comes complete with clutching components but I will admit that I decided to go a different route with clutching. I hit Dynomojoe up for one of his turbo specific clutch kits. Kit has custom ramps, helix, primary spring and secondary spring. I was running 21.3 grams and if I got into the throttle hard enough I would easily hit the rev limiter. Next trip I plan on installing 23 grams:face-icon-small-ton!
 
I noticed straight race made mine sluggish also. Currently running straight av gas. Keep posting the videos and thanks for not covering the sound of the motor w/ music.
 
You should not own a turbo sled if your using reverse going down hill, if your to scared try golf, that was pathetic. To much money not enough experience!

I have a jake brake in all my semis. Does using the jake brake make me pathetic when I need to slow down 80K pounds? If you have it at your use why not use it? Just so you know I don't use the reverse trick all the time, actually this video was the first time I ever did it with this sled.

Oh by the way.......go pound sand!
 
Hey Hey ! :cheer2: Thanks for the real world vid. It looks and sound like it is running very well.

There will always be haters. It is just the nature of the sledding crowd. But who cares. if you have a sled that runs like that day in and day out. Deep down you know who is getting the last laugh. :D While you are grinning from ear to ear.

There is a reason these forums are so slow because very few of the customers want to come and get flamed. It is super sad because there could be alot of good info shared.

The reverse trick works good tried in on A m8 a few times just to try worked fine Never did it on My t Nytro lever and chain case did not trust it. Congrats on the boost welcome to the dark side of the best way to waist money but the most fune you can ever have.

Everyone needs to start someplace.

Its like ripping on a 12 month old baby for crawling when it's 1 week past it's walking expected date.

This stuck up, my wang is bigger than yours, my sled it faster than yours, my Prius it greener than your Cummin's attitude does little for the sport. All forms of learning and support encourage from the ground up.

- I crashed my first time I rode a sled on land... I was 8
- After 20 years of trail riding I sucked my first time west.
- I thought I was good at sex... now I am better.

Let Dude spend his money in reverse, and remind him.. forward is more fun.

I believe the reeds are Boyesen turbo reeds. They came as part of my turbo kit. I built this sled with big plans of doing at least three trips this season and so far I have only taken one trip with it. I am hoping to maybe get out one more weekend before the end of the season.
