turbo Nytro appllication-one or two fuel pumps

So I see some guys are using the stock fuel pump alongside of the msd fuel pump on their turbo Nytros, any advantage.?? I notice sometimes on my sled that if it is straight up and down it burps like it is out of fuel but recovers when coming back down. IS the powderlites pickup not close enough to the bottom and should a guy piggyback the fuel pumps. I actually ran outta gas with two bars left the other night.

turbo nytro fuel pump

i have a nytro with a msd pump and powderlited kit and it runs great when it is vertical, and when my orange light comes on you only have like about five or ten minutes of riding til it is out of fuel, make sure your pick up in ur tank didnt fall off or make sure it is pointing down, you shouldnt need two pumps the msd pump puts out more than needed, and the regulator is adjustable, make sure it is set at about 45psi after the sled is warmed up and ideling

Fuel Pickup in tank

Make sure who ever did install used stock filter with long enough hose so filter sits on bottom of tank.

I'm pulling the pickup out tonight and checking. I realize the pump puts out more then enough but some on the net including Ulmer on his kit stayed with the stocker as a piggy back to the msd for more consistant pressure.By the way I know we have discussed this before but what are most running for fuel pressure?? I've been running 45 with the latest map and have had high exhaust temps around 5700 rpm with little load . Tach being so small I can't track the range but it does have me alittle concerned.

Well checked the pickup and sure as hell it had come out. After pulling it out and re attaching . I gave it a pull and it came out again. I can see the factory pickup's neck is so short it got worked back out probably due to fuel slosh. I changed position of the clamp and couldn't work it out by hand so hopefully it will stay attached this time.
