How do you recommend cutting the tubes down? Do the tubes need to be removed from the power jet to cut them? It seems it would be tough to keep the cut square on a belt sander, a tubing cutter would leave a rolled edge.

i just take a hobby saw with me to the mountain. (if i know this is what i am going to be doing.) the kind hat cuts balsa wood. then i have a cut down drill bit and sand paper. I cut it, then run my drill bit up the tube, then remove all burrs with the sand paper. works good.
