Turbo guys. What oil do you use.

What's the best to run for turbo application bikes? Ive been running 10w40 Kawasaki Synthetic in the summer. Should I be running something else in this cold weather or stick with what's worked for years?

I think you will find that running a semi senthetic will be better for clutch pressure and engagement… or straight oil and changing more often

I run Yamalube 0W-30 semi synthetic snowmobile oil in my turbo YZ. In the summer i run the full synthetic 15W-50. I see Yamalube makes 0W-40 full synthetic with Ester, I might switch to that.

Yamalube is a good product and works great. The best oil I use is Redline. Pricey at $16 per quart, however worth its weight in gold and will mix with other oils if you're in a pinch.

A 0W oil will def be the right thing to do in these snowbikes. 0w40 is spec'd out for -40* to 104*F ambient temp. 0w30 is -40* to 86*F

I use Motul 300 V ester core synthetic 10w40
No clutch slipping problem with this oil what so ever.
Not sure if viscosity is optimal for winter use.

My bike isn't turboed but I run rotella t6 5w-40. It's ma rated for wet clutch applications. If it was just a summer bike is run rotella 15w-40 which is also ma rated for wet clutches. Most of the pro mx bikes have rotella 15w-40 in them.
