Hi Guys,
I know the most experience with this is in this fourm. I'm considering boosting a 1200 Doo for next season. Seems like I get mixed advice and whether to boost it fresh off the showroom floor, or wait for a few hundred miles until things get a little looser. I'm looking at only a moderate amount of boost (<10 lbs). Any advice?

TIA,
RK

doo? you are in the yamaha section. But anyways boost it new 0 miles it does not make any diff. If you are worryed then just don't drive it at full boost for a set time. I drive a t-nytro i am not a doo fan but i have heard that the new doo 1200 with a turbo is amazing at only 10 pounds boost
( atleast you are putting a turbo on a 4 stroke not a 2 stroke:beer;)

I know I'm in the Yami fourm..but who has more experience with Turbos..Doo fourm or Yami fourm?

Ah....the guy has a point there. But it's kinda like going to McDonalds, and asking for a Whopper. Ken @ Specialty Sleds in Edt. would have a good idea on that note. I to looked at the doo 1200 but until they prove the clutch and that chassi can hold a turbo even at low boost, I'm still leaning on the Yami side. I am told the 4-tec motor is rock solid and built like a F1 motor, but the drive train needs to be able to accept this power and torque. I am going to keep my ears and eyes open next year. Plus I need to save for a turbo.
Does it void the Yami warranty if you turbo it right out of the box?

you will get a different answer from everybody on this did mine from 0km ,took it easy first couple rides then ripped on it no probs.

Put it on from new bud, just run low boost and good fuel and no long pulls for a little while. That sled will be a riot!!

Be carefull with the boost in your part of the world. Mine would not go under 12lbs to start with. Check the controller and be sure you know where your at before you start hammering the throttle around Regina. RUN GOOD FUEL!!!!

Just make sure you run good fuel the first time, just incase there is a probally in the tune or setup, but ride it like you would normally ride it. No need for break in miles, Just boost it from new. I have never had a probally with anysled I have done.
