Ok. is it just me or is putting on a belt and taking one off a chore on these sleds. Is there a tool you can buy that spreads the secondary apart like on a TEAM clutch? If not does anyone run a TEAM on there boosted yami and have good results with maybe a clutch setup to share? Im about to just buy a TEAM secondary so that i can easily change belts when needed. I like to take my belt off after every ride and clean it and that clutches. Well its been a real PITA so im looking for a solution.

Grab the break and squeeze with your right hand. Squeezing the break put your left foot on the helix and push in and down to open the secondary sheeves (pushing down and to the back of the sled). With the sheeves partially open grab the belt with your left hand and pull up and out. I can pull a belt in 3 seconds doing this methood. I put it in pretty much the same way.

Ill have to try that zeb. Has a shockwave but think im going to get a straight helix this summer if I don't go with a team

Says a lot about these sleds when the only complaint is that the belt is a pita to pull off to clean, lol

Umm my arms are getting huge from having to hold on and my face hurts after a weekend of riding from the permagrin. Oh and my friends say there heavy.

That belt tool is perfect. Says there out of stock tho.

mind you the spring in mine is prolly not as tight as yours but once i it it pushed in its easy to hold in place. put parking brake on push in and turn at the same time on the helix.

first of all set your purse down! put on the park brake and grab the helix with both hands and twist it in you may have to do this twice till the belt sits low in the secondary. then grab the belt off the bottom and pull off to the side. to put it on put the belt on the primary then start at the top of the secondary again set your purse down!! twist and push the helix in stuff the belt into the secondary as far as you can then thread the belt onto the rest of the clutch. to get the belt to come back to the top of the clutch just grab it and turn just the belt and it will come to the top!! NOW you can pick up your purse!!

HAHA. Love the purse idea but i keep my snickers in there. That sounds good and everything but i dont have a park brake. Thats another thing ive been lookin for. Just havent found the one i want.

hahaha i dont have a park brake either so i just turn the helix and the track keeps it from rollling if its on the ground! some guys have elastic bands on their grip to hold the brake i have never tried that. i usually have a coffee crisp in my purse!!!

I've always done it by pushing and twisting on the helix till the belt drops in but it can be tough with the stiff secondary springs we run in the turbo's. gonna have to try Zeb's idea, sounds too easy......and you could still hold onto your purse, lol
