Tunnel Bags

This year I put a pelican case on my kit. Super clean, water proof, and indestructible. They have tons and tons of sizes and they are cheap!

Ogio pack looks sweet, like the idea of having a place off my back to stow shovel, wonder if it fits in the gas rack portion of the tunnel?

I'm always tempted to get stuff off my back and on the bike, but then you have to think about what you'd do if you were in a small slide and your bike, along with your shovel, got buried. You'd definitely want that shovel on your back, along with your beacon and probe.

I have the mountain addiction and am not very happy with it. I mounted up and looked sweet but the zipper was a pain and the elastic on top works poorly when it gets cold/icy/wet. I am looking into a pelican also. Just gonna bolt it to the tunnel then maybe use some snowboard ratchet to lock down the shovel blade...

I got the OGio elite pack, well made. Built for the TS tunnel. The mounting system is stout. 3 L brackets riveted to the tunnel.

Another option , Ogio and others make miniature tank bags that work pretty good as a bar bag . It holds a lot more than what's available for a bar bag . For those that don't know adding weight behind you seriously affects the way the machine handles , way more than a sled since you have nothing to keep you upright .

Want to see a newbie take a beating , have them carry a backpack . It can make driving a straight line a work out .

I used a Condition one #075 case on my ST kit and it fit perfectly. A lot cheaper than the Pelican case and every bit as sturdy and waterproof. Stuck a sticker over the logo and nobody knows the difference. Amazon has them right around $40.

Stumbled across this at a sporting goods store . It's a Plano model , Field locker Mil-Spec , it's hardcore and the price is less than the other guy .

I run Craiggerbuilt IPEX bags on both my bikes and the CAB-B on my sled. I also carry a shovel in my pack, as well as one in quick release QuickFist ATV utility clamps screwed to the tunnel. Works brilliantly.
