Tunnel bag thoughts

I'm looking for a tunnel bag and would like opinions from those who have them. I ride a 2015 rmk 800 153.

I really need to store lunches for up to 3 riders, and the usual extra gloves, goggle, etc.

I've been looking at the ultimate shovel bag by polaris and the E-Series Elevation COMPACT Tunnel Bag. Probs I see with polaris is it's only 4" tall so not much room. Def prefer the polaris hard shell design though. That particular e-series bag has been out of stock forever and haven't heard when/if it will be available. I really have to have the shovel storage option also which cuts a lot of bags out of the running. Also prefer to be able to fit a gas can on if I decide I want to but realize I may have to sacrifice that.

Open to other suggestions as well. Thanks for the input.

I built my own hard side box, mounted it on my Pro 155...turned out way better than I thought it would, seriously.

Here's the thread I copied, but I made some big improvements over his design.

Go down to post #23, that's the box I used.

I totally gutted it for weight savings and to give more interior space.

I used 3/4 square aluminum tubing for mounting...it worked perfect.

I'll try and take some pics if you're interested at all?

Contact doopower on this forum. He sells a bracket for the Polaris that uses the SkiDoo linq system. I have two on my Axys, one for fuel and one for storage bag. In my opinion, the SkiDoo bags and fuel caddy are the best. The best part is they come off in seconds. If I am going for a shorter ride I can remove the gas caddy and put the bag on the mount right behind the seat. You can also get two sizes of storage bags that use the linq mounts.

Yes, pics would be awesome. Is that a box from Home Depot or somewhere? thanks

I don't have any experience with PowderKeg products yet, (gas can is in the mail) but they make a neat looking gas caddy that has an attachment for a pretty large tunnel bag over the top of it. Know a guy who uses that system and so far he loves it.

I just purchased a BCA bag while I was in Island Park. Best tunnel bag I have had tons of storage, waterproof, semi rigid, on and off very easy, seperated storage inside with an additional drybag, external shovel holder, sits high enough and/or the material kept snow from accumulating on the zipper area.

Very happy and very well priced.

I put some weather stripping around the lid. As dry as any tunnel bag I've ever had. Cost me virtually nothing, had the toolbox, and the carriage bolts already. Vinyl Graphics were left over from my IQ.

^^Are you serious?

eSeries bag has been on my list for some time. I need to call SledSolutions and get one!

BCA tunnel bag is very nice. I replaced the Burandt one that came on my 2017 with this bag.

NO, only ran that as a GOOF. The crew was giving me greif about getting rid of the "Floydmobile"
A 12 IQ with custom 1 off graphics, Pink Floyd The Wall (mainly) so I put that toolbox together for a ride. I actually run a Polaris shovel bag, and a Katadin under seat bag (no under seat bag in this pic) Oh but under seat bag is on IQ
