Tunnel bag and gas can

XP Tunnel bag and gas can

I was thinking of installing a tunnel bag and gas can on a XP 154. Does anyone have pics of either or both of these installed on thier sleds? I see BRP offers a tunnel bag and also a tunnel backpack. Does anyone have any experience or comments on these products?
Thanks and Fish On!!!!

i dunno about that tunnel bag on top of all that heat!? but the gas can is funny, I don't know why they didn't spend a few more bucks and build a new gas can instead of using the '07 model, it just looks wrong!
I seen a really good aftermarket one on a guys sled, i was really impressed, wish i remembered the name of it (perhaps someone here will know it) but anyway, it had a quick detach system, very secure, and it was a square Jerry can. the triangle ones are more difficult to handle.

Ski-Doo Tunnel Bag

DO NOT buy the Ski-Doo tunnell bag!!!! I know 5 people including me who had to return it. IT IS A POS. All the zippers break and it is useless once this happens.

I really wish they would have put a storage compartment in the back of the seat. What a pain in the ***. Bought a back pack and cary every thing in their now. Thinking of getting a bag to mount to tunnel.

I know what gas can you are talking about with the quick release. I thought it was a QRS. Can't think of the name of it either, but thinking of getting one. i believe WPS sells them if not parts unlimited does. Now that you mention it the ski doo ones are a pain in the *** to get off and on and they are kind of a pain in the butt to use.

DO NOT buy the tunnel bag.. The bag is not capable of carrying anything except toilet paper and a pair of gloves.. The zippers are Garbage. Good for Barbie Doll Clothes.. Mine broke first ride out this year and I lost all my stuff that was in it. Dealer gave me a new one, but the zippers suck, have to be so careful to open and close. real hard when it's cold out, imagine that.. Also, the paperwork that comes with the bag gives them a Max. carrying weight of a 1/2 POUND.. But the gas can and hold downs that come with it work good for me so far and are convenient..

I agree with the above statements, DON'T GET THE BAG!!!! I haven't had any problems with the zipper, yet, but all the clips broke to hold it on, so now I have it mounted with a ratchet strap, which will get me through the season. I like the gas can, very handy, haven't had any trouble with it.

the mx-z tunnel bag works great. same one that we used on the revs fits nice with gas can on 154-163. ski doo pt# 280000339. good luck

I've really enjoyed the tunnel bag and gas can I purchased from craiggerbuilt.com. 1st season but bag stays dry inside and quality seems good.

The instuctions for the Skidoo can shows i can either be mounted under the seat like on the Rev, or you can turn it around and mount it at the end of the tunnel... I went ahead and mounted it at the end of the tunnel (thinking i could get that extra inch of ski lift)... BAD IDEA the extra weight on the back cuased my tunnel to bend and ended up rubbing on my track! Now that my tunnel is straightend i have the Skidoo backpack type bag mounted on my Tunnel (up aginst the seat) and i have no problems. I love the bag. I just wish there was room to mount a Muff Pot on the pipe.

There is room to mount the muffpot. I've mounted 3 now on my friends xp's and am getting good. I removed the muffler and cut 8" of the insulation off at manifold end. Mounted the bracket and reinstalled for proper fit. Don't tighten anything down until your fit is correct. It actually fits great with enough room to get your goodies out w/o burning yourself. If you like i can send a pic.

I cant speak on the xp but I bought the Doo tunnel bag for my 07 and as youve heard, the zipper borke and I lost all my sh**. Just picked it up today after having a heavy duty zipper installed and two sinch straps to keep everything from moving. Hope it works. I love having the extra space for gear. The bag also had an open mesh pocket on the top that filled with snow. Sh*** design, I cut it off.
