Tumbler Ridge

Rode Bullmoose/Windfall Creek Today

First ride today up at Bullmoose. Drove to 6 km on the windfall road, unloaded and had a good ride. There is 2 feet with good base at the start and as much as 4 feet in the trees at 13.5 km (windfall lake). Even managed to get stuck climbing once. Rode to the 16 km bowl and made a little poke up the small middle bowl. If you need to get some km's it is worth the drive. Now we need 3 more feet to make it really good. I included a stylized shot from my phone taken above windfall Lake.

if you have been far enough back on the wolverine or bully drainages you had better be a very skilled and well mounted amputee.on a clear day you can see the mtns on the upper burnt are not far away from the wolverine . and at the back end of the bully if you get past the glacier the water is running to the south.

We rode the core lodge last April and they were drilling on the trail in. What a mess coming out. We were told that this area would be closed this year,no access from the core lodge. I looked at Tumblers web and the snow report was last updated on March 4 '08. WTH is going on with this area????

Talked to a friend of mine about Tumbler. They went into bullmoose last week, there is enough snow there to get around, but still a lot of debris showing. Talked to another buddy two days ago and they arent riding Wolverine yet. Not sure about Babcock I dont really ride there, never really enjoyed it. Im originally from Tumbler and love riding the Wolverine area.
