Tucker Hibbert will compete at the WPSA Brainerd National over the weekend of March 7-9. Hibbert still had a race left on his snocross contract after the cancellation of the WPSA New York National stop, and Brainerd fulfills that obligation. Attending Brainerd also gives him the opportunity to contest four races because the event serves as a double National weekend.
However, while Hibbert will be at Brainerd, it doesn’t appear he’ll attend the WPSA finale at Lake Geneva because he has sponsorship commitments for Monster Energy at the AMA Supercross in Minneapolis the same weekend. For those who haven’t been following the Supercross series, Hibbert isn’t racing in the East Lites class this year.
“[Racing Lites] could’ve happened, but not to his satisfaction,” said Team Hibbert’s Mandi Johnson. “It was a little hard on him, but he’s focusing on motocross.”
In addition to motocross prep, Tucker and Mandi purchased a house and 160 acres near Pelican Rapids, Minn. Hibbert’s plans for the spread include a big motocross course, naturally.
Finally, Hibbert earned himself a new fan at Winter X: Rapper/producer extraordinaire Lil John. What?! Johnson reports that John (or is it Lil?) approached Hibbert at an event in Aspen and told Hibbert how cool he thought snocross was. Okaaaay! (And yes, that’s a Lil John reference
