Square tubing is stronger but is heavier for the same wall thickness.
Without going to great discussion, square tubing should be about one third stronger.
Square doesn't bend as well and even with custom dies, it will likely weaken at the bend more than round tube does.
Although I just found an interesting thread on discussing some interesting info on chromoly steep used for tube chassis'
