In addition to strut length and type of track you run on your TS bike, I can say the next step up to improve traction is proper springs in the suspension.

If you weigh over 170 lbs and how much you carry, you need to go to 200-225 lb spring. the older ts bikes I find 225lb front and back springs are about right.

On the aro 225lbs front and 200 lbs on the rear.

You need to order 1 7/8" ID x 8" long spring, race car suppliers off e-bay about $50 each.

On the older TS you can run a 1 7/8 x 10" on the front shock but only 8" long on the back.

Beside better traction you will find way better trail manners when you get them adjusted.
 
We just updated two 2015 TS MH LT’s with the 2.5 Convex Tracks and drop brackets. One on a 17’ YZ 450F, and the other is a 12’ 450 SXF. Completely transformed the rider experience for both guys. Does everything better. 1” narrower. Lighter. Spins & hooks up way better! Couldn’t be happier-

The CMX track just wouldn't climb up on the snow it just chewed through the crust then trenched like a MOFO where my Camso got up on top with relative ease. Some of it might be due to the kits as well but yesterday Camso 1 CMX 0. For light snow the Camso/Yeti track is superior. I do think the CMX will kill it in the spring.

One think about the camso skid is it's very good at keeping neutral even rail pressure which will help keep it from breaking through crust. The ts rail pressure is greatly effected by the springs and strut length.

My cmx track is finally starting to fold over and soften a bit. The viagra is wearing off.....

I have also noticed that when my track angle was a bit off it loves to trench, you could try adjusting strut length or fork height as well.
 
We softened the front skid spring yesterday which helped some. This track is on older TS with a non adjustable strut. I think that needs to go. I think we need to make a new adjustable strut rod, shorten that then play with the forks. Another thing I should add is he has also switched from the old POS TS ski and added a Yeti ski which is carrying the front end much higher on the snow and driving the back of the bike down. The fact that he is a big boy doesn't help either. Hopefully can get this worked out sooner rather than later. Getting back to the CMX track it still doesn't like being on an angle, once flat it hooks up fine.

M5 did you get your buddies ts dialed in? I'm going to be installing the yeti camso 137 on my 14 MH and I've picked up a 16 yeti ski as well.

Its getting closer for sure. Running the front skid spring way soft has helped it climb up on the snow much better. The kit has the Raptor triple rate springs which are a nice upgrade from stock, I had them on my TS and they are worth the $$$. He just got an adjustable rear strut so he is going to shorten that bit by bit and fine tune it. He is also running a 2019 Yeti ski.

I think after riding both tracks I would personally pick the Camso/Yeti over the CMX he has. Once the CMX track loses its bite its all over, it just digs, the Camso Yeti keeps on trying to climb out. For the snow and type of riding we do the CMX is too stiff, I expect it will rock in the spring though. The other thing he did was to raise the forks in the triples a lot like 1/2" which also helped it a bit.

Its worlds better than it used to be but I'm glad I sold my old TS kit and didn't upgrade it. Where he would get stuck 6-8 times a day now its down to 1 or 2 max, sometimes none which I'm happy about.

Thanks for the info. I'm currently running the TSS at around 320(guessing as gauge only goes to 300) haven't ridden the with it at that pressure yet, last time it was at 250. I have the rear spring at 7.5 and the front at 7.75 inches. I think I found those settings on one of your older threads if I remember right. Do you recall what the range of these springs are for max and min length installed?

I want to play with the new track and setup before I try that yeti ski to see how it feels.

Well I could sum up the new track in three words. WORTH.THE.MONEY. Holy cr@p it's like a completely different machine, so much traction but with my big bore I can still pull 4th in the snow and 3rd on all but the biggest hills. I can get the ski off the ground now as well although nothing crazy like a shorter one or a riot would I'm sure. All in all the best damn money I've spent on any modification I've ever done on any toy. It's that noticeable.

Even clears without notching the track with the tensioner flipped. Also attached a picture of a camso. Track looks exactly the same minus the two rail setup.

Looks awesome! I want a 129 for my raw, does yours have the on section where the lug is different? I've always wondered why camso did that, for the seam?
