Well, maybe the 125/285 yellow white stock spring is better than it's Ti counterpart, in some ways but not it the way of getting your sled to pull consistent R's of 81 to 82 with the SLP setup. Been there done that with several different Primary weight combo's NONE helped. Now as I've said before my rider weight fully geared it 240 or so and I have a 09 162 riding from 5 to 8k, it may be different for someone who is a buck 90 fully geared up and running a 153. I know from talking to SLP their testing took place using a 153 and the rider weight of just under 200 fully geared. Oh I've also never used anything but the stock 36deg helix too. I'm headed in the secondary direction and see what I get. Unfortunatly it won't be until next season before I'm able to post results this seasons over for me. Will revive the post then with my updates. I will keep an eye on this post though as some of you are still riding and experimenting. As for the steering, my hime joints were pretty stiff when the sled was new. I put it up on the stand exercised the stearing a bunch and lubed up each joint. I also made changes to my shock settings, running 53lb in the clutch side shock and 50 on the can side. Rear shocks, the front has very little load on it (backed off a lot) the rear float is running 150 I believe, I need to check that though. One more thing, on the ski's I also flipped the rubber shoe that goes under the spindle around. This helped my heavy stearing better balanceing the pressure on the ski where it was not putting so much on the ski tip and centered the pressure more under the spindle. It worked for me anyway.
