I made a similar post in fouled plug but thought i might get more info in this section. wanting to throw a few video clips together to make a short movie. was trying to use windows movie maker but have run into some problems. the videos from my contourHD are quicktime movies and the videos from my blackberry are 3GPP movies, neither of which appear to work with windows movie maker. how can i either canvert these to use with windows movie maker or what program can i use that they will be compatible with?? thanks

Check out sansa media converter. If you are going to be making videos regularily, I would buy a better program. I use Power Director but there are many good programs out there.

thanks. I imagine i will end up getting a better program eventually, just thought i would see if i could stitch a few clips together, throw some music in there and make it look like something.

I took a couple minutes to look at that sansa deal, it looks like it wants me to have a sandisk device plugged in. am i doing something wrong?

I think you mean it wants to install a plug in. Not that you need to plug something in. You could also google "converting 3gpp files to microsoft media file"

I say just buy a great film editor since that should be able to use almost any film versions, then you can make/edit your film how you like and save it into whatever formats you want. I use Power Director also.
