TRX1 Why will it only rev to 3000 rpm?

My sled got rolled over end of last season. Ever since the thing will only rev to about 3000 rpm. No engine codes, trouble lights. I think it might be the sensor in the throttle flipper...runaway sensor i think, anyone Know how to test this or possible bypass it?

Usually it's something simple if you rolled it. Most likely a boost leak. Make sure your throttle bodies are on securely or any other places where you have clamps ect. Build a boost leak tester if you don't have one and pressurize your system because most times leaks are not found with out one. If you flooded it you should replace the plugs.

Check to see if your throttle cable is seated in the flipper. If thats not the problem unhook the tors wires from the carbs and hook the two wires back into each other.

I am pretty sure its some thing electrical.. It will rev to around 3000 rpm then hits some sort of rev limiter.. Are they that sensetive to boost leaks, Iwould be interested in how to build a leak tester.

The throttle cable seems to be seated in the flipper good. I will try the wires tomarrow.

Thanks

Also if you have hand guards and they moved just rite it will restrict the throttle flipper from getting full movement to the bar..... rode for a while before I figgered that one out myself....

I finally had a chance to work on the sled.. unpluged tors wires and pluged both ends back into each other.. that does seem to be the problem...it seems to rev up fine now..

Is it safe to run the sled this way .. does anyone know how to fix this?

Yup its the T.O.R.S

Something in your throttle is not right causing the tors to kick in. Find the problem and plug your tors wire back in.
ORRRRRR put in a tethered kill switch.

That was what i was thinking... Teather should be good enough...do i just intersect the brown white stripe wire? closed circut switch?
