I am a commercial driver, and I can definitely tell you no, there is no intelligence requirements to drive a truck in Alberta. there has been talk of a graduated licensing system, but I don't think it has been implemented. you can get your class one, and immediately start hauling whatever weight your company can legally haul. BS in my opinion....No offense to the "good" commercial drivers on here, but there isn't an IQ test before you get your license.
