Truck Ramp Options

This is the ramp setup I am running, you will need 3 lengths of the grip glides and they come in a set of 4. I use a step toolbox but you could order a second ramp to walk alongside. Unfolded: 89"
Folded: 45.12". You will want to strap it to your bumper so it does not kick out from under the bike. About $150 with shipping.

The simple life...no straps attached!

I know you're looking for truck options, but something where the carbide straddles or fits in a groove, takes very little power to get traction to load. This worked great for loading into the trailer.

That "Spine" ramp looks like plenty of opportunity to make a shish kabob out of one's self! :face-icon-small-sho

I just purchased (reserved) a new Spine snowbike ramp for the new ski. I'll pick it up in a week or so. The new one looks super trick and I really like how they modified the old version for the new ski. It doesn't look like there is any way the new ski can break out of the channel and the grip the track gets from it is significant. Without the tie down to the truck the bike would spit this ramp to the ground.

I'll post some pictures or a short video of loading when I finally have it in my hands.

Really interested in finding a good ramp for the Snowbike, so I look forward to your review and pics.

truck crane

...after years of struggling with loading and unloading Hawks...I got a crane. I acknowledge that this is the rock star of loading and unloading apprarati; however, if you've ever wanted an excuse to get a crane, they sure work well. Also, like a pickup truck and the new friends you get, its amazing how often I use the crane to lift/hoist random things. I'm often recruited in the parking lots to lift dead sleds up onto sled decks. Mine is a Western Mule Crane. I had to do some significant modifications under the bed to create a solid foundation for the crane base and it has a lifting capacity of 800-100lbs depending on the angles. Another cheaper option is a Spitz Lift that can be mounted to the 2" receiver hitch. The crane allows for parking in tight spots without the need of a ramp taking up precious real-estate. As far as ramps go, the newer Spine ramp looks good; however, unloading may still be difficult.

I think the hydraulic deck takes the cake in this competition ! Those Hawks are fatties eh ! It's like riding that fat chick in high school !

Your innocent until proven guilty ! There is no proof ! Didn't happen !

I just got finished up at the Edmonton sled show. Didnt see any good solutions for ramps for snowbikes. There was a lot of bikes there this year ! Cool to see

They had a UFO kit there as well which was nice to see. Not sure if it is gonna be any better than the Timber although it is very well engineered.

Saw some great ideas for the TS kit ! Also a lot of re engineered
Products such as clamps and spindles.

I will be demoing the "spine" ramp exclusively for snowbikes. The owner and I met last year and discussed the need and unique application for this ramp. The ramp is a ride on ramp, nothing else out there. I am receiving the new model soon with all promo info for the dealer network. I will post info as it comes along.

Does that ramp fold or is like 10 feet long?

Yep I just spent the weekend at the sled show in Edmonton as well !! The bikes on display were very nice to see. Last year there was only one booth that had any bikes and this year there were 4-5 booths that had bikes !!

Snowbikes took my breath away !! It was awesome. It was funny to watch the sledder's walk by talking with there buddies. I heard one fella go pppppfftt that thing wouldn't go any where in the mountains !! Man how some people have no idea about them and they still have nothing good to say. It felt like when the snowboards came on the scene and the skiers never had the time of day for them !!

Boondockers is also in the snowbike game now !! Pushes the bikes from 50 horse or realistically 30-40 in the mountains up to the 100 horse ranges ! This will be a real game changer !

I'm building my bike soon. My kit should arrive this week and I can't wait.

Summitboy are you from Edmonton ? I am in Grande Prairie. Let me know and we can hook up a go for a ride this winter.

They are steel. They can be more aggressive with steel and the availability and cost of manufacturing is less. The cost will be $350/$360 They are making some small detail changes now and will be finished soon with the final cost.
I will keep you up-dated.

Here's a quick view. Very easy and safe, no more hassles!
