Hey guys i found a truck boss sled deck used one season for a great price. Just wondering what they are like? I have heard good thinks about them and some bad?? I have heard they are wrecking the side of guys truck boxes?? I really like the no legs well legs not in the way anyways design. Any feed back on them would be great. Thanks

i think it was a bad idea to go away with the regular deck. to bad they dont make a truckboss set up with legs and dont use the bed rails at all. truckboss looks like a nice setup except for the way it sits on the rails.

Ya but you can get the legs for them still that go in each corner and still dont take up any room in the box. Just support legs i see on there web site

I have ran one the past 2 seasons with no legs, and almost every weekend with 2 154" track sleds... one of them XP the other heavy yamaha with no issues at all. Love the Truckboss.

how easy is it to take off the truck? thats what im concernerd about. im from the midwest and may only install it twice a winter.

I have one and LOVE it, so trick and much better than a chessy home made one. if you got a good deal jump on it, you wont regret it. I run the legs on the rear but have not noticed a difference with or without them. and my truck ''box'' looks fine with no defects!

Not bad at all but i leave mine on almost all year its a great tonneau cover, keeps all the weather and otherthings out off your truck and you can use it for 4wheeler dirtbikes sidebysides etc. The first set up takes a lil bit but once you figure it out and have a method to taking it on and off a 1/2 hour tops.

It takes about an hour I guess to take mine off and lean it up against the inside wall of my garage... I do it by myself with 4 ceiling hooks in the garage, attach 4 straps to hooks on deck, lift, pull truck forward and lower one side down onto towels laying on the floor as not to scratch up the sides of the deck... Would take less time, but I have the winch/wiring installed and under deck lights so it takes a little to dismantle but I do not want to run with it in the Summer...

Like every has commented their is good and bad. From what I have seen.
Good
Tonneau cover,Extandable sides, Trick look with Leds,

Bad
7' deck too short, Everything is option, underdeck lights necessity, Heavy for two people,Not much room under stored ramp, Rear tailgate flap is crap after a season

I do not want to discourage you but it is not perfect.

I would really take a look at toyup decks if I were you. Cons it doesnt have expandable sides. Pros. A lot easier to get the ramp in and out then the truck boss deck, has plenty of room under the deck for all your gear and tools, comes equipped with superglides, super clamps, and led lights all around. Only weighs 400 lbs.
