Troubles with fox shock install..

I was given a fox shock. It is the Fox Zero X with the remote reservior. I own a 08 summit x with a 146. The shock mounts with 2 bolts that look to be 3/8 diameter. Im trying to install them on my sled. The problem is the mount that needs to be attached from the cross shaft in the suspension is too big. Need some sort of bushing or spacer to make things work. If anybody has any idea of what im trying to do please help me out. If pictures are needed let me know..Thanks...

similar thing for me... was given some fox zero pro front shocks but the mounts needed some bushings to take up the slop..i just went into the hardware store with the shock in hand and bought some nylon bushings that fit inside the shock mount holes..worked great

Hi,
You don't say where you are wanting to install this Fox shock. It sounds like it may be in the skid, in what BRP calls the CENTER position. The Zero X you have may not be intended for that application. The "cross shaft" you mention is large diameter because it has to carry the weight of the sled from the rails to the shock, and it's long. The mounting hole in the Fox shocks designed for the center skid is quite large, and has a pair of nylon bushings that go between the hole and the large-diameter cross shaft.

It's probably not the news you want. Hope it helps. Maybe others know how to make it work.
