Tri Hub

So last night I was switching tracks and I found that my Rear trihub idler wheels had started delaminating. Anyone else have this happen on the trihubs?

Likely explains the vibration I was feeling towards the end of last season.

More common on the 12's

I know of a few 12's that did this, my 13' tri-hub broke halfway through the season (seems there is a bit of strain between the hub when the two halves are tightened). My Kmod skid came with the same tri-hub setup, and if it gives any grief this year I will fab a 4 wheel kit for the rear axle or find an aftermarket axle & independent 2 wheel kit.

I was thinking billet 8" wheels and I could machine them to make them a tri hub. Trying to weigh my options. $50 is what it is going to cost me to replace the wheels through cat care. $120 to get billet wheels.

My sled delaminated after 600km updated to the 2013 rear idlers, seem to be holding up better

Good to know. I like the 2 wheel setup and I think the trihub is fairly strong way of doing it. I just dont want them to delam again so quickly.

so does anyone now if you can get the TD 4 wheel kit and only use the 2 inner wheels? or will the bdx 2 wheel axle work with 9" billet wheels? or do you need an offset axle with 9" wheels.
