Tree riding areas in Alberta.

I'm new to the sport and live in Edmonton.
Are there any worthwhile tree riding areas in Alberta or do I have to cross the boarder to BC every time I want to ride something fun? All the legal riding locations I seem to find are groomed trail networks or open alpine sled areas, 50kms up a groomed road.

Theres tons of treed riding areas in Alberta...just not for a snowlike.

Get some studded tires for winter if you have a summer only bike and take all the trips to the big hills with deep snow you can otherwise
