Tranny shop needed

It has a 3 year 75,000 mile warranty I can get a stock remn for 1700 but the upgraded with more clutch disks and a heavier Torque converter billet rear drum and different valve assembly is 500 dollars more

Broken Ford Imagine That

Try Deisel Performance Unlimited in Pasco Wa he has a ford with over 800hp and a bullett proof trans my brother just put one in his Ford and they have a limited lifetime warranty that covers almost any abuse you can do to it If you go to renegade Raceway in Yakima you might see his deisel run today. 2200 for a trans with any kind of longevity just sounds to F#%@ing cheep to me and rhino sounds like a yamaha part. You might want to look around a bit more before you buy.

What was the outcome of this repair Hillboy?

My 00' Ford F250 (with 92,000 miles) started leaking from the torque converter cover plate when I got back in town earlier this week from a trip. I am being told (by ATS in Kent) that most likely the pump went out and that it will need a new pump and torque converter minimum. Heavy duty with labor $1200 - $1500, but they have not looked at it yet and said if they pull the pan and the tranny doesn't look good, then I am wasting my money and might as well get another tranny for $3200 and change.

ATS was referred to me by TC's Offroad in Kent. Anyone deal with ATS before? I have had very good luck with TC's, so I trust their referral. Also, a bad deal is that one of the owners (Dave) got in a motorcycle wreck last night and will be out for a while. I was hoping that he would be doing the work on my truck.

I then remembered about this tread and thought I would check back for the outcome.

My friend is a sled and Harley guy and has been to TCS several times. He hangs out with the owner and has a drink in the back room with them at the end of the day sometimes. He's real happy with their work. I called him for you and said he highly recommends Dave and his crew....G'luck.

well..for what it is worth..I used to get my tranny's from my local gm dealer..they were about 500 more then local rebuilder but never had one come back and a way better warranty..also have all the latest updates on them...even with a private shop(me) doing the install warranty is honored...

I'm a trans rebuilder/electrical troubleshooter for a close competitor...
ATS is a good shop and good people.
Whatever you doo, stay away from Aamco or as they're known... SCAMCO!!!

BTS for a ford PERIOD!

A little more money but you get what you pay for! ATS is garbage!!!!

Thanks for the input folks.

Dave is still in the hospital. He has a broken shoulder, collarbone and 4 ribs. Probably be laid up a few months??
That really sucks. I picked my truck up because it needs a new tranny and with Dave out, they are going to be behind a bit. I also am going in for right shoulder rotator cuff surgery Thursday, so I will not be able to drive the truck back home for a month from wherever I have the work done.

BTW, FORD came in at $3200 plus tax for a reconditioned tranny with all of the required upgrades. They will provide a 3 year/75,000 mile warranty.

Since I can't get the work done and the truck back before my surgery, I guess I will have time to figure this out.

ATS is the name of the shop, not the brand of the tranny. What does BTS stand for?

I went with a rhino heavy duty tranny and had thelocal guy put it in for 450 tranny wass 2200 with free shipping. I could have gotten the 1800 dollar tranny with 3 year 75000 warranty but wanted the tranny with the billet TQ converter and larger towing capacity but only 12000 mile warranty.
