Trails in Greely

My sister stays in Greely but she isnt to helpful with Boondocking & trail info. Can you ride out of greely or do you have to trailer up to the mtn's? I was thinking about making a trip to see her with the sled.

You are definitely trailering to ride from Greeley. No trails...........very flat...........and angry Sheriff if you ride the local "trails".

You will be about 2 hours (or more)from unloading just about anywhere you decide to ride if you are staying in Greeley.

Boondocking in greeley is great if you can get the right setup. The snow is different there. It also smells like s#&%! Maybe someone else can chime in with the proper setup. If you like the trails you have to watch out for illegals and cattle What the illegals don't steal the run ins with the cattle will destroy!











All kidding aside, you will need to trailer to the mountains. Greeley is along the front range. You can PM the mods to change user name.

You are 2.5 hours from unloaded at the snowies.
From there it gets longer.
3 - 3.5 buffalo pass
3.5 - 4 for rabbit ears
Etc..

I wish we could ride from greeley, make getting work a LOT more fun.

I think the closest riding to Greely is Mt Limon. Some good untracked deep powder there.

Its been 2 years since you were able to have enough snow to run around in greeley and go anywhere...away from the cops. Dont leave your sled unlocked in that town...will be stolen in a heart beat.

I didnt know it was THAT big of a s#!@ hole. Were from Chiacago( I still live here) but she moved to Scottsdale to go to ASU and then to Greeley for her masters for whatever reason. What an eye opener that must be for her. hahaha

aw common guys.
Greeley has gotten much better since they raided the meat packing plant and sent 800 illigals packing. Shoot, you can actually go into a store and "some" of the people speak english.
