has anyone had this???for no apparent reason my 98 700 rmk has decided to start breakin trailing arm bolts!!! I've replaced it three times now..with grade 8 bolts..I don't think the shocks are bad, but maybe.5,000 miles on her with little or no trouble but this little problem makes her a little unreliable..ha!

I would say something has to be bent, Either a radius rod or the trailing arm itself. If your snapping off grade 8 bolts like butter somethings got to be wrong.

thats what I am guessing I am going to take a closer look at it this week...hopefully I will know something... thanks

I use grade 5 bolts instead of grade 8. Grade 8 are stronger on a straight pull but are more brittle with a sideways stress like this. But in any case you shouldn't break a grade 8 either. Maybe you should stop hitting those stumps!

I did however leave out the part that my front end is twisted up from the previous owner. ive straightened it as much as I can. Like said above i would guess something is out of place.
