Trailing Arm

This last weekend I found a rock in a meadow and now I am needing a new RH side trailing arm. I am wondering if I should bite the bullet and buy OEM or if there are some aftermarket arms that are good. Thanks

I would suggest oem style. At 70 to $80 they are a bit more affordable. Once you have the arms off the machine you get a feel for how much they weigh, I estimate 6 or 7 lbs.(stripped). They are pretty strong for being thin steel, IMO I didn't want to invest in a front end that only saves 2.5lbs a side. Also, I crushed a stock one pretty bad in a hit with a big rock, it bent my shock, the trailing arm in two places, and shoved the rear mount up and back makeing the running board bow up under my foot. I think that had my trailing arm been any stronger it would have bent my tunnel , however it absorbed more than half the impact and I still rode out that day. Weaker stock one worked in my favor that day. I would suggest spending the coin on a good set of skiis instead.
