Trailer tires 225/75R15

Mine are 8 years old - that's pushing it a bit. Rubber rots/breaks down.

I see that Goodyear Marathon trailer tires are now manufactured in China.

Are there any trailer tires made in North America??

Where are Carlisle tires made?

Yes 8 yrs is pushing it. Not to get into to much info, Carlise does build a good bais bly tire here in the states. Many people like radails do to better trailering and load index. In the 225/75/15 they now have 10 ply avail. It makes a diffrence also where u buy your tires as most shops will warr the tire against sidewall/tread cracking.

carlisle is a great trailer tire. 10ply should run a 95.oo they are rated @2830# 8 ply should be around 85.00 and rated @ 2540# 6 plys 2150# spend the money and get a 10 ply.

I had a couple Carlisle's blow out on me when I ran them (they were Bias though). After that I put on Tow-masters Radials and ran them down to the cords. Trailer tires get the short end of the stick. Wish more big companies made them with the quality and engineering they put into their truck/car tires...

Are trailer tires really needed? Why not run an E rated light truck tire or passenger car tire?
