Trail tank

I do not know how far you plan to ride , I could not be in the saddle long enough to run a full tank (10.5 gal) thru my 800 and I do not think that the 850 is that much different! Even on 80+ mile day, i always get back to the trailer with more than a 1/4 tank of fuel. I do have a fuel can carry rack on my machine and only once did I carry a 2.5 gal can and then decided that was not worth the 15 extra lbs weight and never use the extra fuel. So I carry my SNO BUNGE there in that rack now, and on warm spring days I can augment my cooling by filling the can rack with snow right over the chassis heat exchanger

From looking at the parts listing, that Trail Tank SRXSRULE linked to will fit the Pro-Ride chassis sleds. The '16-'18 Indy models show the same Poo part number for the fuel tank that all of the Pro-Ride sleds use so I would venture a guess that it won't fit the Axys chassis as they changed the tank for the new chassis.

Pro-Ride sleds have the fuel pump wiring and fuel line connections on the PTO side of the tank whereas the Axys has them on the MAG side.

Those are the awesome days. I've had a few 28 mile out of fuel days but it seems like 1 or 2 every 8 years

We always come back on fumes. Doesn't matter if it's December or April. Go figure...

A larger tank would be nice, but we carry extra gas and there's always my dad's sled to siphon from. He's the more sensible one, at 77 years young, and always comes back with at least a quarter tank.

I have a powder keg with the gas can that I can clamp onto the ‘13 and ‘19. I have a buddy not on the forum with a turbo who goes through more gas than the rest of us, and is a bit of a hucker so he doesn’t want the extra weight on his tunnel. Just seeing his options. I know the one for cat actually drops weight too, just looking for options for him.
