Trail Tank Hood Fastener

I Installed snap fasteners to replace the Trail Tank thumb screws a couple of seasons ago: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=90341 . The snaps held up well but I decided to try one more option...........

Thats slick! Might actually consider a trail tank now that i see theres alternatives to digging out wrench/allens just to get the hood skin off.

Follow the directions for the snap fasteners when installing the Pull It Up fasteners. The studs are a little long and will need to be cut to the proper length for the tank. Before enlarging the holes in the hood install the studs in the tank and place the hood on the sled to see how well the studs center in the holes. The holes can be adjusted with a dye grinder or file so they better center on the studs. I used a little loctite on the fasteners when installing them just to make sure they don't loosen. They also sell a small spanner wrench to aid in the installation.
