Have heard the locals have been in the commissary pass area riding trails for break-in, ride dt's, 2'-3' in most high elevation. More is on the way Sunday.
Side note: Stop by the Canyon Inn remodeled Motel, restaurant, Bar, Pkg liquor to go ( South Salt Pass) on the way up, New friendly owners are cooking
up some Great tasting meals ( the cheese burgs are huge, and most other menu items are from scratch ) and the hours open are much better than the past!
Look for the Grand opener with band on 12/20/08 nite
"They support sledders of course"
Not my place, but a shameless plug for the New owners hard work.. You may see me there tho!

I just got back from a Commisary ride today...rode 35 miles, 2 feet of snow with 4 inches of new. What a beautiful day! We chose to unload at Poker Flats(14-ish mile drive). No rocks if you are awake. We rode over the divide and into the Snow Bowl. There were 10-15 guys on big sleds marking...a bit brave but they claimed they weren't into the rocks either. I doubt you will have to drive up the road after tomorrow.
