Tracks

Whats the differences (pro's and con's) of a finger track? I am looking at a longer paddled track and I ran accross a 2.25 finger track for my 06 900 RMK. Right now I am running the stock 151" "paddle" track. Is the finger track an upgrade or no? It looks like its alot heavier but that might just be because of the pic.

Thanks for any and all info you can shead on the topic!

finger tracks are a love hate relationship.

some love em and some will curse them til death.

never ran one, but i have 1 friend that loves his, 1 that is so-so, and 1 that loathes his. best part was they bought them all at the same time.

I guess it really depends on what kind of snow you mostly ride. from what i've seen in more set up snow you can't beat em.

if all you do is ride harder or crusty snow then you probably cant beat a finger track, but if you do much powder riding a good paddle track will be better. so like mentioned it depends mostly on what kinda snow ya ride in.

I am considering this track for the snow out here in North Dakota. Its usually either sticky and wet or hard as a rock. I only rode the last part of the season last year and I was having lots of problems spinning out with the stock track.

As far as I can tell the finger sounds like the track for me but I dont wanna lose any climbing ability when we do have some snow.

Any opinions?

I have been running a finger track on my 151 800 for the last 5 years, i am still able to climb as good as the other tracks if not better some times depending on snow conditions.it does well in deep pow for me to.

devils lake eh? yeah a finger track will work well out there. however the stock track off an assault would be the better option in my opinion for up in tundra. Its a little shorter yes but is better suited for the ditch bangin that you probably do up there.
