Anyone else have terrible results with them?
Just got in from the shop, and I'm in a fit of rage... I ordered a rail extension kit and a tunnel extension.
The rail extension wasn't machined right. I told them about it, and they told me to just grind the rail off so it would fit. I wasn't going to grind 135 thou off the back of my rail to make these fit. I told them a few times that it wasn't right, but they insisted that I was wrong and that i just need to grind my rails down. well, my trip is in 2 weeks, so even if they would have admitted the problem and let me exchange them, i wouldn't have had time. So I through them in the mill and corrected that problem. After that I tried installing them, the block that fits in the window was too large, so I had to grind the rail to get them to fit in. After that I was finally able to slide the extensions onto the rails so I could get everything lined up and drill the holes in the rails...
The tunnel extension had issues too. They didn't use the right radius on the bends, so they don't match up to the tunnel. On top of that, the aluminum is cracked on top of all the bends, and 2 of the five bends were over-bent by about 5 degrees.
Really really unhappy with these products. Up until now, i had only heard good things from them, which is why i decided to pay their ridiculous prices...
